This is the official web site for the catalogue raisonné of works by Swedish-American watercolor artist Gunnar Widforss (1879–1934) and the Gunnar Widforss Institute at the Museum of Northern Arizona. This is a freely-accessible resource created by Alan Petersen, Curator of Fine Art at the Museum of Northern Arizona in Flagstaff, Arizona. The web site is focused on the catalogue of paintings and drawings by Gunnar Widforss, who in the 1920s and 30s was known as The Painter of the National Parks in the United States.

The Museum of Northern Arizona has the world’s largest collection of Widforss’ paintings and archival material. The website is intended to provide information for a broad audience, and to serve as a resource for information and analysis of Widforss’ work.
