By: Emery Kolb
c.1930
Jennifer Draper
Photograph, hand-colored on paper
28 x 36 in. (71.1 x 91.4 cm)

Emery Kolb's hand-colored photograph of the same scene as Widforss' painting Plateau Point, Grand Canyon (GWCR 252), with the addition of an agave on the right side. Kolb told Widforss that the agave improved the composition.

As recounted in Belknap (1969), Emery Kolb accompanied Widforss to Plateau Point (a round trip walk of 13 miles, 21 km) on each of the ten days that it took him to paint Plateau Point, Grand Canyon.
